The Golden Valley County DES works with the state and other local jurisdictions to
manage and plan a comprehensive approach to all emergency and disasters in our county.
DES is currently working with the State of Montana to review our Hazard Mitigation plan, the Lavina Schools to review and update Emergency Operation Plans, and a community outreach information program.
Golden Valley County is in the process of re-establishing our Local Emergency Planning Committee. If you are interested in participating in community meetings to share information and give your perspective on hazards, please contact our office via email. All are encouraged to participate!
